How to enjoy and have more fun on your Disney vacations

Tips for having more fun at the Disney parks.  First rule throw away all of the books that put you on a planned route.  You are not going to be able to see it all no matter how hard you try. Remember there is always the next time.  Running around trying to get every thing in takes away the joy of living in the moment.  Savor it like a nice glass of wine.
Rushing is not for vacations.  Rest and relaxation is.  It is more important to take time to get all of your senses stimulated. That is what Walt had in mind to make the journey so much more enjoyable.

If you find a ride you just love or your family enjoys, do it over and over.  I would let my children ride a  ride they enjoy all afternoon.  Now grown up that is their fondest memories of the times they did their favorite ride over and over.  No complaining about what they missed as they did what they liked best.  Quality time for all.  I did the great movie ride 10 times in a row till my girlfriend couldn't handle the alien part any more.  I just love the part with the witches legs are sticking out from under the house in munchkin land.
The slower pace pays off with not being as tired.  When everyone is tired no one is enjoying themselves.  Some vacationers take an afternoon rest period and that works out well especially with children.  Sometimes I
would not want to leave the park, I would be tired, but enjoying myself to much to get the needed rest.  I found the solution to the problem.  Fill in with sit down attractions such as the muppets, or Ariel.  Or find a bench and a nice snack and people watch for a bit.
Entertaining yourself in line is a big plus, Disney makes the wait entertaining so enjoy it.  I have a saying, Walt Disney teaches you patience and your patience will be reward with the time of your life.  More tips to come.   Becky B.
